Whether an article can be accepted or not depends on the opinions of the reviewers. However, even experienced reviewers may not always have clarity on what should be focused on during the peer review process. Therefore, it is anticipated that you can engage in this training, whether you are an author or reviewer.
The workshop covers:
- An overview of different types of peer review
- The responsibilities of a peer reviewer
- How to critically assess an article and write an effective report
- What to do if you have ethical concerns about an article you have been asked to review
